At The Cross
This is an arrangement I did in honor of Billy Graham when he was still with us. The hymn “Just As I Am” surfaces at the midpoint of the song. My dad was saved at a Billy Graham crusade in Charlotte in the 1950’s. My dad was a teenager who had ridden the bus from Falston, NC to attend. My dad was not going to go down because he thought he would miss the bus home. Just then, Billy said, “And don’t you worry about missing your bus. We’re holding the busses until we’re done.” My dad went forward. Our family history was altered forever.
